North Track - A Road Course for Cars & Motorcycles

 

 
 

BeaveRun's North Track is ideally suited to high performance driver training, racing of all types, vehicle demonstrations and testing.  The track is 1.53 miles in length and has 12 turns. With a layout that flows over hilly natural terrain, the course offers exciting elevation changes and several blind-entry turns that challenge the abilities of drivers and riders alike.

Some of the important features are:

  1. Track Width: 36 feet
  2. Pavement:  Polymer-based asphalt wear surface
  3. Generous runoff areas
  4. Pit Area:
    • Approximately 900' long
    • Width is approx. 60' (Including Signal Area, Entrance Lane, Hot Pit area, and Crew area)
  5. No crown in pavement; straight sections are elevated about 2% for drainage
  6. Apex Curbing: "Carolina Style" - 4' wide with 2' X 4' wedge; removable demarcation posts
  7. Exit Curbing: "Carolina Style"- 2' wide, sine wave form at rear with peak at track grade & valley depressed approx. 1.5", 4' interval, front edge is at pavement grade
  8. Guide Rail: Triple-row ARMCO in high impact areas; double-row elsewhere
  9. Deceleration Barriers in high-impact areas:
    • Tires are bolted tread-to-tread and sidewall-to-sidewall with 3/8" bolts and large fender washers
    • Tire walls are five tires high - approximately 39" and nested into three rows deep
    • Pit Entrance - Tires bolted to ARMCO - Tire pyramid 15-20 feet in front of entrance
  10. No gravel traps
  11. Efficiently designed False Grid
