BeaveRun Off Road Challenge
You and your friends have done it all... the ropes courses, the fantasy camps,
maybe even racing schools. You love the outdoors. You love the
challenge. And you know dirt washes off.
The BeaveRun Off Road
Challenge is for you. Get ready to:
- Tackle tough terrain;
- Manage steep inclines;
- Negotiate mud bogs;
- Work your way through real
"rock gardens;" and,
- Work as a team to build
your way through obstacles.
You'll begin the day by
becoming familiar with terms such as approach angle and departure angle. We'll
discuss spotter signals and recovery techniques as well as how to create and
maintain momentum as you traverse our trails. This is followed by a chance to
apply what you have learned on our unique 4WD exercise area which has been
specially designed to include a variety of terrain changes and obstacles such as
declines, inclines, moguls, obstacles and side slopes. The practical training in
this area will prepare you for the actual off-road conditions lurking around the
corner.
Next, you'll hit the trails.
What you encounter will range from unimproved roadways to more difficult and
challenging terrain replete with water crossings, critical V's, soft ground, and
imposing obstacles.
The day is capped off with a
real bear of a trail - negotiating it will
challenge even experienced off road 4 wheelers.
Cost: $850.00 (Includes
lunch and refreshments during the day)

BeaveRun SUV Program
As an “SUV” driver, have you ever asked yourself:
- “Can this vehicle stop
quickly?” or
- “What happens if I have to
swerve to avoid a crash?” or
- “When should I use 4WD?”
or
- “What should I do if I
start to skid on a slippery road?”
We not only provide the answers
to these questions, we provide the opportunity for you to experience and hone
your skills in our vehicles.
This One-Day Program is designed specially for the driver
of the popular vehicles known as SUV, four-wheel-drive, truck, all-wheel-drive,
minivan or 4x4. Call them what you please,
these modern day “grocery getters” are not cars and cannot not be driven like
typical sedans. A high center of gravity, power to all four wheels, massive
weight, large size and lots of power make these vehicles behave very differently
from cars. Not only do they demand respect from their drivers because of their
unusual handling characteristics, but with their weight and mass, they become
lethal projectiles to the ever growing segment of lighter fuel efficient cars
traversing our highways.
The BeaveRun SUV Program is
designed to teach people the concepts of driving these vehicles
efficiently and safely. Since they are used
as daily family transport as well as gateways to adventure, the road manners of
the vehicle are important.
This course covers requirements
to operate a 4WD safely on normal roads and introduces the concept of unimproved
road driving.
Our one-day course will let you confidently and safely
drive your SUV, addressing:
- Paved road driving
- Braking
- ABS
- Traction control
- Following distances
- Swerving to avoid a crash
- Skids
- 4WD in slippery
conditions, snow and ice
- Driving on unimproved
roads
Cost: $475 per
person using our vehicles.
