and rub shoulders
with those who have raced at the highest
levels of motorsports competition over the last thirty
years. Key events of the weekend are:
- One Lap of
America Driving School - April 5th at 8:00
BeaveRun
will assemble a remarkable group of professional racers who
will be instructing at this school once
again. Previous instructors have included the very
accomplished Le Mans and Grand Am racer Chris Gleason,

One Lap of America
Driving School Dinner - April 5th at 6:00 PM
The Saturday
evening dinner and Cocktail Hour tradition continues in 2008 at the BeaveRun
Event Center. Cocktail Hour,
complete with appetizers, kicks
off at 6:00
followed by a catered dinner and
an entertaining cadre of speakers. This is the
perfect opportunity to meet One Lap participants and
share stories about some of the greatest legends in racing.
Like fishing stories, the truth
may get stretched a bit... but this only adds to the
enjoyment of the evening.
Dinner, by
the way, is open to all motorsports enthusiasts,
spouses and guests who wish to purchase a separate dinner
ticket, but Saturday's school
participants receive a
dinner ticket with
their registration.

BeaveRun's Flat Out Days but with
additional classroom
sessions for drivers who desire
it.
About the Cannonball One Lap of America
One Lap of
America: a motorsports event accessible to the average Joe, where the finest
meals available are at gas station convenience stores,
personal hygiene takes a holiday and friendships (sometimes
marriages) are stretched to the limits.
Brock
Yates, the father of the original Cannonball, created the
current format: Nearly 24 hours a day driving with
competition taking place as time trials on race tracks
throughout the country. The event, as it always has been,
is foremost one of endurance and vehicle preparation. The
vehicles and their drivers must survive over 5000 miles of
driving interspersed with battle fatigue, weather, traffic
and the demands of high-speed competition.
For more information visit the One
Lap of America web site at
www.onelapofamerica.com.
All
events are open to the public.
Pricing:
Registration for Groups 1 & 2 closed as of March 25th. All
registrations for Groups 1 & 2 received after this date will be
held on a waiting list.
