One Lap School Weekend Kicks off the 2009 BeaveRun Season!
Inner Speed Secrets Seminar and Pro Driver Experience Added to the Slate
The One Lap of America School once again returns to BeaveRun MotorSports Complex on March 28-30th. The School and accompanying Saturday evening cocktail reception & dinner have become one of the most highly anticipated events on the calendars of the Performance Driving Enthusiasts each year at BeaveRun.
The event is expected to be just as exciting, challenging and interesting as always. However this year's program comes with an added punch as the School is a tune-up for The Tire Rack One Lap of America Race returning to BeaveRun MotorSports Complex! The spectacle that is One Lap is scheduled to invade BeaveRun on May 8th, making this year's school a must attend event for everyone.
As always, the weekend is open to all performance driving enthusiasts and racers as well as the One Lap competitors. Come out and dust off the cobwebs after the long winter and rub shoulders with those who have raced at the highest levels of motorsports competition over the last thirty years.
In addition to the excellent instruction that has come to be expected at the One Lap School, BeaveRun is excited to announce the additional involvement of the highly acclaimed Speed Secrets instructors for the weekend. Former professional IndyCar and Sportscar driver Ross Bentley brings his Inner Speed Secrets Seminar to the facility on Saturday as well as taking part in on-track instruction.
Speed Secrets will also take part in the final program of the 2009 Kick-off event, instructing during the Pro Driver experience, the latest Thrill program at BeaveRun. Apply the lessons learned in the Inner Speed Secrets Seminar and One Lap School as BeaveRun opens up the shop doors for participants to get behind the wheel of the track’s fleet of SCCA, Koni Challenge, GrandAm Cup and Motorola Cup race cars!
Key events of the weekend include:
· One Lap of America Driving School - March 28 BeaveRun will assemble a remarkable group of professional racers who will be instructing at this school once again. Previously, instructors from a variety of disciplines including sports car, sedan and open wheel racing have participated as well as professional race engineers and driving coaches. Those who complete this school will have earned the right to compete in the annual Cannonball One Lap of America event.
· Inner Speed Secrets Seminar – March 28 Inner Speed Secrets Seminars explore the mental techniques race drivers use to drive at the limit. You will learn to apply these techniques to your driving. You will make better decisions, be more consistent and remain totally focused during on track sessions. Racers at all levels maximize their potential; improving both their performance and their results.
· One Lap of America Driving School Dinner - March 28 The Saturday evening Cocktail Hour tradition complete with appetizers, continues in 2009. A catered dinner and an entertaining cadre of speakers follows. This is the perfect opportunity to meet One Lap participants and share stories about some of the greatest legends in racing. Like fishing stories, the truth may get stretched a bit... but this only adds to the enjoyment of the evening. Dinner is open to all motorsports enthusiasts, spouses and guests who wish to purchase a separate dinner ticket, but Saturday's school participants receive a dinner ticket with their registration.
· One Lap of America Driving School - Day Two - March 29 A day of driving and classroom sessions begins at 9:00 AM on Sunday. Like the school on Saturday, this day is open to One Lap drivers as well as the aspiring performance driver. The day will be run along the same format as BeaveRun's Flat Out Days but with additional classroom sessions for drivers who desire it.
· Pro Driver Experience – March 30 The Pro Driver Experience is designed to introduce the world of professional race driving to the enthusiast driver. Incorporating classroom instruction, on-track training and professional evaluation, the Pro Driver Experience is the ultimate driving program. The goal of the Pro Driver Experience is to get the non-professional driving enthusiast a chance to feel the excitement of a real race car on a professional race track. This truly is an arrive & drive event.

About the Cannonball One Lap of America:
